The Fonderie Valdelsane started in 1961 near the town of Colle Val d'Elsa in central Tuscany because of the presence of a large number of glass works and mould shops in this area. From the start, the company specialised in the production of rough cast iron moulds specifically for the glass industry and developed processes and technology orientated towards the products requested.

The will to expand and the fall-off in production at local glass works made Valdelsane lndustries Look for new markets, first nationally and then internationally where they discovered how much their products and services were appreciated. With the new markets came other production requirements like quality controls, volume and delivery time.

It was decided therefore, to transfer the factory to Monteriggioni where the plant and production techniques were completely updated. Strong in "Know - How" acquired over years of experience, the company launched into the world market concentrating on products to meet the fluctuating needs. The glassworks and client services have developed into ever stronger partnerships. The production processes are strictly checked, have greater flexibility and are able to cater to the market requirements and produce guaranteed quality.

In recognition of its conformity to the quality requirements of the ISO standards the company was awarded the ISO 9002 Certificate in 1996. The company today rigorously maintains these established and recognised standards as the norm guiding its production and endeavours to constantly improve performance and production quality.
